Hydrocyclones are facilities that are used for extra treatment of wastewater by filtration, for separating solids from liquids or for separating liquids of different density, the principle of separation is based on using centrifugal forces.
The hydrocyclone is used for dewatering of ground products and hydro classification of ore or coal. Light and fine fraction is exported up by water, but the heavier and coarser fraction is discharged below. Some types are used to enrich heavy suspensions or to clear sand from sludge. Apart from standard sand the hydrocyclone is able to extract new nomenclatures of materials suitable for making specialized plasters, etc. Hydrocyclone is the state of the arttechnology for the extraction of sand.
